Design Studio is your AI-powered workspace for managing product design projects — from initial concept to production-ready files.
Creating a Design Project
Navigate to Design Studio in the sidebar and click New Design. Give it a name and description. Each project gets a unique design number (DS-YYYY-NNN) for tracking.
AI Chat
The chat panel is your AI design assistant. Ask it anything about your project:
- "What's the best material for an outdoor mounting bracket?"
- "Suggest dimensions for a phone stand that fits an iPhone 15 Pro"
- "What wall thickness should I use for this enclosure?"
The AI understands 3D printing concepts — tolerances, material properties, structural requirements — and gives practical advice.
Reference Image Analysis
Upload reference images (photos of existing products, sketches, competitor examples) and the AI analyses them. It identifies design elements, suggests improvements, and helps you brief the design. Upload an image to the chat to get analysis.
Design Brief
Generate a structured design brief from your chat conversation. The brief summarises the project goals, materials, dimensions, and requirements — a document you can share with designers or reference during modelling.
Files & Revisions
Upload design files (STL, STEP, 3MF, OBJ) to the project. Each upload can be a new revision with notes about what changed. The revision timeline shows the complete design history.
Convert to Quote
When the design is ready for production, click Create Quote from the design project. A new quote is pre-filled with the project details and linked back to the design.
